LED Lighting

LED lighting upgrades are typically the fastest way to reduce energy and maintenance costs for a business or government building. If you have not done this yet in your building, now is the time.  In fact, the rebates and incentives from local utilities often make the payback through energy savings less than one year.  If you add controls to an LED system while you install it – you will not only save more energy but also significantly add life to the system.

Interior LED Lighting

Replacing fluorescent and high intensity discharge traditional lighting inside of commercial buildings has advanced incredibly in the past few years.  Interior LED lighting systems pay for themselves in energy savings over just a few years, sometimes less than 2 years with utility subsidies.

We recommend Philips branded (or Signify) products for interior LED lighting, because of high quality and longevity as well as best in class controls.  While many brands work well, we look for high quality in terms of CRI (color rendering index) for interior LEDs.  Brand name really makes a difference here.

Troffer LED

The 2×4 troffer in a ceiling is the most common lighting in a business or public building.  It is typically lit with T12 or T8 fluorescent lighting, which has mercury inside of it and is toxic.

We recommend these fixtures with either a Type C (new LED driver and tubular LED) application, or our most popular offering is the Philips Evokit. This system not only saves energy, but also gives the space a facelift and enables integrated lighting controls.

High Bay LED

High Bay lighting, common in warehouses, manufacturing, and fire stations, have a high intensity light output. These are commonly metal halide or sodium vapor lighting, but can also come in 6 lamp and 4 lamp T8 and T5 fluorescent lighting.

New LED lights are brighter, longer lasting, save energy, and also really benefit from sensors and controls.  We see some of our best ROI projects include high bay LED lighting.

Low Bay LED

Parking garages, maintenance bays, and manufacturing are common areas to find low bay and linear LED lighting, traditionally fluorescent lighting or a lower wattage high intensity discharge lamp and ballast system.

Many low bay lighting applications have 24/7 operations, like a parking garage.  Because of these long hours, these systems use a ton of energy and have a fast payback or ROI.  We also love to integrate advanced sensors and controls on these systems, since fast moving vehicles can trip a system of controls and lead to better functionality.

Exterior LED Lights Make Spaces

Brighter

Safer

More Energy Efficient

More Secure

We typically recommend a Signify or Philips when installing LED exterior lights.  The quality of an outdoor fixtures really comes down to the LED driver, since it is exposed to so many harsh conditions like temperature and moisture.

LED Pole and Area Lights

Pole lights create a safe parking experience – no one likes to be in a dark parking lot at night.  LED lights are brighter, as well as safer.

These LED retrofit or replacement projects for pole and area lights are fast payback projects, but more importantly, save in long term maintenance costs.  A replacement typically includes a bucket truck or lift rental and is costly.

LED Wall Packs

LED wall packs are brighter, longer lasting, safer, and less environmental impact than traditional lighting options.  There are many unexpected benefits that our clients see from LED outdoor lighting, from crisper and safer client experience to more profit from energy and maintenance savings.

LED Tubes and Drivers

Philips has many solutions for more simple fluorescent to LED conversions, including both Type A and Type C LED tubes. Type C includes a new external LED driver, while Type A include a ballast compatible tube for a fast replacement. The Comed Energy Efficiency program has incentives for both applications, helping to make the transition easy.
